Typical Day for a Vet Nurse

Ward based location, no theatre work. Inpatient care inc CCU, surgical, neuro, medicine, cardio and oncology patients predominently cats and dogs.

No patient or staff info can be shared on social media, this must be strictly adhered to.No photos can be taken of patients or staff without permission

Uniform Provided

No - our expectation is non-slip footwear, and standard nurse type tunic etc or sbrub type, no jeans.Green uniform is preferable as fits with practice colour indentification of role. Long hair must be tied up

Locum Budget

Nights £26.00 hourly ( 2130-0700 mon-thurs , 2100-0900 fri, sat, sun inc 60 min unpaid break.)
Day shifts £16.95 - 22.00 (inc any shift between 0700-2200 on weekdays)
Weekend days £20.00 -22.00 (0900-2100 shifts inc 60min unpaid break)

Additional Information

Hosptial level facilities with CCU, 4 dog wards, 2 cat wards and isolation ward

Support Staff and Resources

Yes - Lots of support on weekday shifts. Nights and weekends 1-2 VCA's, minimum 1 x Junior Vet present at all times with Seniors available
